Thankful

Monday I went with the Jr highers to help out with the tubing trip. The estimated number of kids going on the trip was 30ish. Adam soon noticed we were hitting the 70 range and knew we were in need for more transportation. He asked me if I would be willing to drive some students in my car, I was. But it turned out that we found a parent in line signing up her daughter for the trip that could drive the big MBC bus. SERVANT.

After I got home and changed around 5, I got back in my car to go play Risk with some guys. Well as I back up in my driveway, my axle and ball joint broke leaving my car several inches lower than normal and one tire practically on it’s side.

I cant imagine what would have happened on the highway with four Jr highers in my car. GOD IS SOVEREIGN.

THEN after I got my car towed and such, the next day I saw some CAT scan drink ‘stuff’ (“chalky milk drink”, as Nina called it when she had to drink it) on the counter. I had just thought it was some leftover from Nina, a container she had lost or forgot to take. But as i looked closer it had my Dad’s name on it. I felt like I had to relive the fight against Cancer again, when my Dad told me last month that he may have Cancer…this container of “chalky milk” just brought it all back to me, I had to leave the room when my Dad was preparing himself to drink it. I wish Nina could have coached him through it. All I could do is pray for my Dad and the Doctors… BUT GOOD NEWS! The CAT scan came back later on wednesday and my Dad is Cancer FREE!
